Project Background
The Polln project aims to create a seamless medical consultation platform designed to enhance the experience for both doctors and patients. This platform simplifies appointment booking and video consultations, addressing the common challenges doctors face in managing their schedules and patients' difficulties in accessing timely medical care.
Our Role
As a web design agency,
- We took charge of the platform's design and development. After gathering detailed requirements from the client, we provided multiple design options to enhance the user experience.
- Working collaboratively with the client and other stakeholders, we conceptualized and built the medical system. In partnership with project managers and frontend developers, we aligned our designs with both user needs and business objectives. Our ongoing focus has been to design clean, user-friendly interfaces that ensure consistency across all screens.
Problem Statement
- We focused on two primary user groups: Doctors and Patients. Doctors often struggle with managing their appointments efficiently, while patients face difficulties in quickly reaching healthcare professionals and enduring long wait times.
- The Polln platform solves these challenges by allowing patients to book appointments instantly. Patients can search for doctors by specialty, symptoms, or location, view doctors' available time slots, and book appointments without the need for lengthy queues. The platform also offers text checkups and video consultations. Doctors can manage their schedules effortlessly, optimizing their time.

- Instant Appointment Scheduling: Book an appointment with just a few taps.
- Doctor Search by Specialty, Symptom, or Location: Find the right doctor easily.
- Comprehensive Doctor Profiles: View doctors' experience, ratings, feedback, and fees.
- Integrated Payment System: Pay for consultations in-app and receive instant refunds for cancellations.
- Subscription-Based Services: Access text checkups and video consultations through monthly or longer subscription plans.
- Video Call Waiting Time: Check waiting times before booking video consultations.
- Reschedule or Cancel Instantly: Manage appointments easily.
For Doctors:
- Toggle On/Off Online Consultations: Doctors can enable or disable text and video consultations at their convenience.
- Customizable Appointment Slots: Manage clinic timings with flexible morning, afternoon, and evening slots.
- Patient History Preview: Review patient symptoms before appointments to save time.

Identifying Pain Points
Through primary and secondary research, we uncovered pain points:
- Confusing UX: Existing platforms were too complex and overloaded with hidden features.
- Overwhelming Data: Doctors found it difficult to review patient data efficiently.
- Inconsistent Availability Indicators: Patients had trouble understanding when doctors were available.
